Can I use Rapid Pack just for returns, without using your fulfilment service?
Yes. Returns processing runs as a standalone service. You can use Rapid Pack as your UK returns address, inspection point, restocking and rework partner without sending us any outbound stock. Many standalone returns clients fulfil from overseas, from Amazon FBA, or from their own UK warehouse.
Can overseas brands use Rapid Pack as their UK returns address?
Yes. Brands shipping internationally into the UK use our UK address as the destination for customer returns. The customer returns locally, we receive, inspect, grade, and either restock, rework, or dispose depending on your criteria. This avoids the cost and delay of shipping returns back overseas.
Do you handle Amazon FBA removal orders?
Yes. We receive FBA removal orders, unfulfillable inventory pulled from Amazon, and FBM customer returns. Each unit is inspected against your grading criteria, restocked if resellable, reworked or relabelled where needed, or disposed of with a documented audit trail.
Which marketplaces do you handle returns from?
Amazon FBM and FBA removals, eBay, TikTok Shop, Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce, and any other channel where the customer returns to a physical UK address. The intake and grading process is consistent across channels.
What does the inspection and grading process actually look like?
On arrival, every return is booked in, scanned, and logged. Each item is assessed against criteria defined during onboarding, covering condition, packaging integrity, completeness, and product-specific checks. Items are graded as resellable, rework required, damaged, or disposal.
How quickly are returns processed after they arrive?
Standard returns are typically processed within defined SLAs of arrival, with resellable stock back in live inventory shortly after. Bulk projects and seasonal overflow run on agreed project timelines, so processing stays consistent as volume changes.
Do you handle rework, relabelling, and repackaging?
Yes. Common rework includes replacing damaged outer packaging, swapping or applying new labels, rebagging poly-bagged items, rebuilding bundles, and light refurbishment such as cleaning or replacing minor components. The aim is recovery rather than write-off.
What about damaged or unsaleable items - how is disposal handled?
Damaged or end-of-life items are logged, photographed where required, and disposed of with a documented audit trail. Reporting covers disposal volumes, reasons, and any items where cost is recoverable from suppliers, couriers, or insurance.
Can I get reporting on return reasons, recovery rates, and volumes?
Yes. You get visibility on returns received, items in inspection, items restocked, items pending decision, and processing times. Reporting also covers volumes by channel, return reasons, grade distribution, and recovered value.
How does pricing work for returns-only clients?
Returns processing is priced as its own service, independent of fulfilment. Standard returns are priced per parcel against your inspection and grading scope. Bulk returns projects, marketplace pull-backs, and seasonal overflow are priced as defined projects.
What volume do I need to make this work?
Standalone returns processing is built for brands with consistent or growing return volumes, typically at least a few hundred returns per month, or periodic bulk projects. Below that, the structure is usually more than the operation needs.
Where is the UK returns processing centre located?
Our operation is based in Oldbury, West Midlands - a central UK location with strong courier coverage for both inbound returns and onward shipping where needed.
How long does it take to set up returns processing with Rapid Pack?
Standalone returns onboarding is typically faster than full fulfilment onboarding because the operational scope is narrower. Most setups go live within a defined onboarding window once grading criteria, reporting requirements, and channel scope are agreed.
