Supplier expectations

We expect suppliers and partners to:

  • Comply with applicable employment, labour, immigration and human rights laws
  • Avoid forced labour, bonded labour, child labour and exploitative practices

Where we identify concerns, we may ask the supplier to take corrective action, provide further information, or, where appropriate, end the relationship.

05 - Risk and controls

Looking carefully at the areas that matter most.

As a fulfilment and logistics business, risk can change as we grow, enter new markets or work with new suppliers. We will continue to review this over time.

Risk areas we monitor

  • Temporary, seasonal or agency labour
  • Subcontracted labour
  • Courier and transport networks
  • Cleaning, facilities and site services
  • Packaging and consumables supply chains
  • High-pressure peak trading periods
  • Suppliers using low-paid or vulnerable labour
  • Overseas supply chains connected to goods, packaging or equipment

Current and developing controls may include

  • Checking key supplier details before working with them
  • Using reputable courier, software and service providers
  • Reviewing supplier relationships where concerns are raised
  • Keeping management oversight of labour use and staffing levels
  • Checking right-to-work documentation for employees
  • Maintaining health and safety procedures in the warehouse
  • Using internal reporting routes for operational or welfare concerns
  • Reviewing supplier practices as part of wider business improvement
06

Training, awareness and reporting concerns

Training and awareness

We expect managers and supervisors to remain alert to signs of exploitation, unsafe working practices or unusual behaviour that may indicate a welfare concern.

Over time, we aim to improve awareness across the business, especially for team members involved in recruitment, supplier management, warehouse operations and people management.

Reporting concerns

Anyone who has a concern about modern slavery, labour exploitation or worker welfare connected to Rapid Pack Fulfilment Ltd can contact us at info@rapidpack.co.uk.

We will review concerns seriously and take appropriate action where needed. If someone is in immediate danger, they should contact the emergency services.

07

Continuous improvement

Future improvements may include:

  • Adding supplier modern slavery clauses to key contracts
  • Creating a supplier code of conduct
  • Recording supplier checks more consistently
  • Improving internal training for managers and supervisors
  • Reviewing higher-risk supplier categories each year
  • Improving reporting routes for staff and suppliers
  • Publishing updated statements as our controls develop
